Zulmira is a Partner in the New Jersey practice group and widely considered to be one of the best litigators in New Jersey Workers’ Compensation. Zulmira began her legal career representing petitioners in New Jersey Worker’s Compensation Court. After two years advocating on behalf of employees, Zulmira rerouted her focus to defending the rights of employers and insurers throughout the State of New Jersey. In addition to New Jersey, Zulmira is also admitting to practice in the District of Columbia. With 23 years of cumulative experience working in private defense firms and, most recently, as Staff Counsel for Zurich North American, Zulmira has represented employers and insurers through all aspects of workers' compensation claims. During her 10-year tenure as staff counsel for Zurich, she acted as legal liaison between claim adjusters, brokers, and high profile, multi-million-dollar insured accounts (RCC & Wakefern Food Corporation). Zulmira also received the Zurich Bronze Award for Sustained Exceptional Performance.

Education
n 1999, Zulmira received her Juris Doctorate from the Seton Hall University School of Law in Newark, New Jersey where she was a Newark scholarship recipient. In 1996, she graduated summa cum laude from Saint Peter’s University in Jersey City where she majored in Political Science and actively participated as a member of the Pi Sigma Alpha National Honors Society. She is fluent in both Portuguese and Spanish.
